Anna Alexiev

My name is Anna Alexiev, and I graduated from Park Lane International
School in 2024. I am currently studying Psychological and Behavioural
Science at the London School of Economics and Political
Science (LSE) in the UK, a degree that combines psychology and economics
to better understand human behaviour in real-world contexts.
Alongside my studies, I stay closely engaged with research, writing, and
community work. I am a research Associate for Irrationale Journale, a
contributor to LSE’s student newspaper, The Beaver, and a volunteer at
Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children, where I support young patients
and their families, an experience that continues to shape my interest in
pursuing psychology beyond university.

I joined Park Lane in Year 8 after transferring from a Czech school and spent
six years there. While the transition to a British education system was
challenging at first, the small class sizes and strong relationships with
teachers made the adjustment feel both manageable and encouraging.

What I miss most about Park Lane is its sense
of community. That feeling became especially clear after a year studying

English at University College London (UCL), when I realised how much I valued

the supportive and close-knit environment Park Lane had given me, an insight that
ultimately led me to transfer to LSE.

Both Park Lane and the IB Diploma Programme prepared me exceptionally well for university life.

Through them, I developed confidence, strong academic writing and time-management skills, and the ability to engage thoughtfully with people from diverse cultural backgrounds, skills that continue to support me every day.
